This book might be more aptly named, “After the Storm,” as it shows the town of Signal Bend enjoying a time of peace and revitalization after nearing destruction. Though I guessed at the beginning of the book that it was the teacher. SIMON is connected to The Brotherhood of Blood but still remains a shadow. He did not follow his father as a coach maker, but pursued various low-level careers as a clerk, in factories, and sales.
